403 on local thumbnail caching

Hi,
Without local caching enabled, I return the correct thumbnail from youtube.
When I enable local thumbnail caching, I get a 403 as below:
The permissions of the directory as created by the plugin are 775:
Hosting is with Cloudways. Can you please advise as to whether you’ve seen this before?
