404 after double opt in confirmation in multilingual site

Nice plugin. I found a bug:
I am using Knews and Polylang for a Hebrew website.
In the confirmation email users receive they get a link link such as:
https://mysite.co.il/he/?knews=confirmUser&k=xxxxxx&e=example%40gmail.com#The link shows the confirmation message over a 404 page.
I think the reason for the 404 error because I do not have a /he/ folder on the site. Everything is in the root. location.For testing, I changed the confirmation URL manually to eliminate the /he/ folder to:
https://mysite.co.il/he/?knews=confirmUser&k=xxxxxx&e=example%40gmail.com#This seems to fix the problem by showing the confirmation message over the homepage.
Question 1: is there a way to remove the /he/ folder from the confirmation links users receive?
Question 2: is there a way to select which page will displayed to the user after successful confirmation?
