404 after installing wordpress

  • Hi

    I have searched the forums and seen other people that have similar problems but yet not found a solution.

    I’m using the host one.com and they only provide one database. I have been running another wordpress site on it before but had to reinstall and now I get a 404 message when trying to install wordpress again.

    This is what the wp-config file looks like:

    [Database credentials deleted. Never, ever, post your username or password on a public forum!]

  • When you install again and you want to keep same database then you can change the database info in wp-config.php or if you want to install from scratch then you will need delete database as well and create new one.

    As you are allowed one database then you can share the same database by changing the prefix for the 2nd install keeping same database info in wp-config.php of 2nd install
