    Hi,

I’ve installed QT Slug and everything is working well with my pages.
The problem is about my blog posts.

The first strange thing is that permalink structure id defined as “post name” but when editing the post it appears as “default” -> https://www.luiscosta.info/?p=123. Nonetheless it’s working.

Also when I customise SLUG QTS field I receive a 404 error when accessing the post… I went to Settings/Permalinks and save but the error continues.

If I delete the SLUG QTS content the 404 error dissapears.

Any help would be much appreciated.

OK, so… I’ve made some new discoverings. The 404 error happens when a specific Slug QTS is used. For example before I installed QTS I had a page with abc as url. Later, I changed it to abc-def. After I’ve installed QTS I defined abc as Slug QTS and I receive the 404 error… But then, if I set a new Slug QTS, let’s say xyz everything works well.
It seams the old posts names doesn’t work. Any ideas about it?

    Hi Luís,

Yesterday I looked at your website and noticed that it was working, so i forgot to reply here.

if I understood right, when you set the new slug to the same as the old one, you get a 404?

Let me test on my testing wp.

    Hi Pedro and Luís.
I Have the exactly same problem. When I edit any old post, It gives me a 404 error… If I Change the permalink so the url, the 404 is fixed. The problem is that i don′t want to change the post url…

hi everyone, i found in a site of mine that there was collisions in the slugs. For example, i had a custom post type, that had “slug-1” and a normal post “slug-1”.

changing one of them fixed that issue. i also tested against attachments, and found that there’s a possibility that it collides with the slugs.

if you have access to phpmyadmin, search for the slug in the post table in “post_name”.

i’m working to fix this as soon as possible.

    Hi there,

We have the same problem with the 404 errors. It would be great to have a fix.

Thank you Pedro for your work.

    Hi Pedro,
