• Hi all, Im really new to this. Im trying give my site its own directory.

    Currently its nomadiclondoners.com/wordpress and i want it to be nomadiclonders.com.

    My siteurl and webpress address in my setting are greyed out. I’ve changed these manually using wp.config to:

    define(‘WP_HOME’,’https://nomadiclondoners.com’);
    define(‘WP_SITEURL’,’https://nomadiclondoners.com’);

    and then completed everything it says here:
    https://codex.www.ads-software.com/Giving_WordPress_Its_Own_Directory
    but then i get a 404 error when i try to log into the site.

    I read that it may be because i dont have any posts published, but im pretty sure I do. Ive changed my permalinks back to default and my “front page display” to latest posts (i tried it with static that didnt work either)

    I’m really struggling to see whats wrong here. I have a feeling it has something to do with manually changing wp-config but i cant seem to change my siteurl any other way.

    please can someone help!
    thanks
