404 Error During WordPress Installation

  • Hi, I’m trying to install wordpress on my domaain. My cpanel does not have automatic installer, so I had to do it manually.

    So far, I have pointed my domain with my host’s nameservers, I know it works because the website I had uploaded to the host worked fine.

    Now I deleted the domain file in my root. I set up the domain afresh, created mySQL database, uploaded wordpress to the new public_html, unzipped and moved a set higher initially. But the domain wouldn’t point to a wordpress set up page. I then moved a set higher further to the domain’s main folder out of public_html. Still same error.

    How can I work this out?

    How to install WordPress

    Basically download latest wordpress copy from www.ads-software.com. Unzip it and install on your website under public_html folder so that all your files are under public_html folder. Create a mysql database with username and password. Just type in your domain later and WordPress Installer will help you setup WordPress on your domain
