404 Error for All Pages Except Home Page

you would be better off asking AMP plugin support or an SEO Forum.

However if you google search: wordpress disable AMP fix 404 you will find several articles on this issue

I want to permanently delete an old post from my wordpress blog but want to avoid 404 error or other SEO problems please help.

The Theme has nothing to do with that.
If you delete a post or a page or any content. And Search Engines or other sites have indexed that old URL then visitors or Search Engines to that URL will receive a 404 ( not found ) error.
You need to use an SEO or re-direction plugin to fix that.

I had the same problem. I came here and saw the solution given here about going to the permalink settings in your WordPress dashboard and saving the permalink. It worked for me. But I first went to my home page and hovered the mouse on one of the pages to check the permalink structure I used. I noticed I used Post name (e.g. https://www.website’surl.com/post-name). So I went back to my WordPress dashboard: settings – Permalink – clicked Post name – then Save. That did it.
