404 Error for Yoast SEO XML SITEMAP

Dear Sir/Madam, we created the website for the client on behalf and published the website on 29 October 2015.
We used Yoast SEO for On-Page SEO purpose but the xml sitemap page itself still have the 404 Error message.
Did we need to try the method Apache or NGINX through this link: https://kb.yoast.com/article/77-my-sitemap-index-is-giving-a-404-error-what-should-i-do?
Which integrate should we do or any method to do?
Do we need to install Google XML Sitemaps WordPress Plugin?Please reply to [email protected] for the issue.
