404 error no pages available

  • I added a picture to my media gallery and now none of my pages are accessible. I get a 404 not found error. I tried saving permalinks. The only thing that helps is changing permalinks to default, however I would like to keep them custom. Please advise.

    Try re-saving your permalink structure at Settings/Permalinks in your admin panel one more time. If WordPress cannot automatically edit the .htaccess file, it will provide manual instructions after saving.

    If that doesn’t work, contact your hosting provider and ask them to check to make sure that mod_rewrite is installed and functioning properly on your server.
