My static homepage works fine except on mobile when I get a 404 error. Can anyone advise how to correct this? Problem has only started since changing to Responsive theme.

    Hi,
The url is in its profile
    https://www.elsagrainger.com/
It lacks the creation of a personalized page for the reception, hence the error 404

I have set the front page to a static page and it works fine on a desktop just not on mobile.

    Hi,

Thanks for sharing the site URL.
The home page shows 404 error page currently. I checked this on desktop as well as on mobile, but I can see the same page on both devices.

To set a static page as front page, please go to Theme Options > Home Page > Enable Custom Front Page > remove the selection (tick mark)
Now, go to Settings > Reading > Front page displays > Choose A static page (select below) > Front Page > Here, you can choose the page of your choice.

    I hope this helps.
If there has been any misunderstanding on my part, can you please explain the issue in detail ?

    Thanks.

    Hi.

I prefer to use a Custom Front Page option since I see it to be better in display than the Static (Home) Page option which displays the heading “Home” at the top.

But, the Custom Front Page displays an error page on a mobile…

    My site URL is https://SwiftBusiness.net

    Please kindly assist.

    Best regards,

    Hi,

Thanks for sharing the site URL.
I checked the site on mobile. It does show an error page. I think this page is not generated from the theme, but may be coming from some plugin settings.
Can you please deactivate the plugins on the site and check once ?

    Thanks.
