404 Error on Multisite Install w/ Domain Mapping (apache)

    We’re seeing 404 errors on sitemap.xml when domain mapping is being used. This is a multisite install. Sitemaps work fine unless a domain is mapped. Has anyone experienced this?

    WP version 4.3.1
    Plugin version 4.0.8
    Apache Servers on an AWS elastic installation
    We have Yoast SEO installed network wide with their sitemap functionality off
    We are using memchace (batcache plugin helping with that)

    Any insight or advice would be much appreciated
