404 Error on Self Hosted Install

Try re-uploading all files & folders from a fresh download of WordPress.

Just tried that. no change.

I think the config is set up correctly from phpmyadmin.

Can you elaborate on this?

I’m not completely sure about the host for the username. There is one host listed in the configs of the other installs on the same server but since I had to create this one, I’m not entirely sure it is correct. I have it set to localhost at the moment.

I’d suggest using the same host name as the other installs but, for now, that’s not your issue. I’m not convinced that you have uploaded all of the necessary files & folders to the correct sub-directory on your domain.

When you unpack the zip file there is only one file to upload. I can get to the readme file just fine so its in the right directory. I’m not sure what convincing you need. I’m not a novice to wordpress installs but I don’t know the server setup since I don’t have network access nor root access at my company.

No – there’s a folder which contains all of the files & folder that you need to upload.

I meant to say folder but I think my issue is that this is a Windows Server. I found that out this morning. I’m waiting on some IIS information at the moment.
