• Every component works except when clicking on the confirmation link in the email my subscription page doesn’t appear it’s a 404 error page. The page is privately published just like my sign up page which appears after name and email are entered in wp email capture box. The address is correct in the settings page and I have the latest version of wordpress.

    Hi There,

I’d change the page from privately published to publicly published. See if that works.

You may have to choose a different way of hiding it (such as removing it from menus, or hide from Google searches).

    Hope that helps!

    Thanks Rhys Wynnne,

But if my other page(sign up page) is privately published as well and it works fine why wouldn’t it work for my confirmation page?

When I initially set this up I tested it and everything worked. I went through each step and navigated through to each page just like any new subscriber would and i was able to subscribe and confirm.

I assumed everything had been working when someone told me about the 404 error page upon trying to confirm.

Why would it stop working for no reason?

    Thanks Rhys fir your help.

Hi i have not heard back from you and so am posting to update. After my second post asking for clarification the page which was working (sign-up page) stopped working and now also shows a 404 error page.

I then followed the suggestion by Rhys Wynne of switching pages from private to publicly published making sure the urls were correct in the wp capture options page. The result was that my sign-up page began working properly by being displayed upon entering name and email in boxes but my subscription confirmation page still shows a 404 error page after I click on the link within the email to confirm.

I’ve included links to both pages above. Also after publicly publishing these two pages I removed them from the menu and updated the changes but they both still appear on the website under the menu.

Why would these stop working? Can anyone provide a solution please or help me to figure this out?

I am running the most current version of WordPress.

    Thank you.

    Hi,

Both those links you have posted appear to be hidden. I am not logged in to the site so I cannot see anything.

Try seeing those pages if you are logged out of the site, that is what your customers and users are seeing. If you cannot see these pages when logged out of WordPress, then the problem does lie with those pages.

What are they? Are they published or private? Private pages return a 404 not found error because they are private. The pages need to be published and publicly available for the plugin to work effectively.

    Rhys
