• I edited one of my posts and changed the permalink, then I put a 301 redirect into my .htaccess file. Now I get a 404 error page whenever I try to login to my admin. My site is up and I’m able to access the home page and category pages. The only problem seems to be logging in to my admin.

I’ve used 301 redirects before without a problem. But since this issue started right after my last entry into the .htaccess file, I deleted that entry, but I still get the 404 page when logging into my admin. Matter of fact, my login screen doesn’t even load normal, but the login and password box is visible.

I was logged into my admin when this first happened and had clicked the link to Cystats from my admin edit post page. The error I first got stated the “URL is too long” and I noticed the address bar had https://www.oceanofperspectives.com/meditation-life/meditation-life/ repeating endlessly.

I’ve checked my entry in the .htaccess file and it’s correct and even verified the redirect on https://www.webconfs.com/redirect-check.php and the redirect does work when I test it in the browser bar.

I tried logging in a few times more and got 503 service busy page a couple of times. But now I only get 404 not found pages.

I checked my sitemap.xml and all post entries are normal.

I really hope someone can help me with this. Like I said, removing the last .htaccess entry didn’t resolve the issue.
