    Hi guys,
I am on my third day trying to install this.

Originally, my web hosts’ tutorial gave me specific instructions for downloading WordPress 2.7 and installing it via https://cgi.yourdomain.com/wordpress/wp-admin/install.php – I had to sign in to my cgi account to upload everything, but when I ran the url to setup it worked and everything came out great.

The problem is that I did not want my url to be cgi.marcusmillsproductions.com when I know there has to be a way to just have it on my ftp so that the address is https://www.marcusmillsproductions.com.

So I deleted the files, logged into my ftp and tried doing it that way following the wordpress instructions, the 5 minute install and everything else I could read online.

I downloaded WordPress 3.0.4, unzipped, edited wp-config-sample.php and saved it to wp-config.php; I uploaded all the files inside the wordpress folder directly to my ftp, and typed in https://marcusmillsproductions.com/wp-admin/install.php and received a 404 error.

I deleted everything from my ftp, and tried uploading the entire WordPress folder.
    Same 404 error.

After reading everything from the forums, I even tried creating a ‘public_html’ folder and uploading everything to that within my ftp – I still received a 404 error.

I found a really cool theme that I would like to use, and I am in the process of graduating so I want to be able to get this done without having a fourth day – I am so frustrated. (Theme: https://themeforest.net/item/onixus-corporate-business-wordpress-theme-3/147964

I am even willing to pay – if anyone can please help me, I would greatly appreciate it.
