• When I try to update a published post, WordPress returned a 404 error and the address change like this:
https://www.mencarijejak.com/wp-admin/post.php (mencarijejak.com is my blog), instead of showing the post number and edit message’s number.

I have checked and tried everything, from disabling all plugins to editing the .htaccess file, but it is still there. I have also contacted my hosting provider but they said that other than this error, my blog works normally.

    Could someone help me?

  • Having same issue started around Midnight, and has not fixed yet

I have the same issue for a for a couple of hours. I see more and more forum posts with this problem … there must be an answer for that. it is frustrating. Thanks.

Same issue here. Noticed it about 4 hours ago when trying to do some updates. Have done the things a stated by haruki1244 and a couple others.

Had the same. Check Apache logs and found Commodo WAF to be the guilty party

[client 41.xxx.xx.xxx] ModSecurity: Access denied with code 403 (phase 2). String match "wp-admin/post.php" at REQUEST_FILENAME. [file "/var/cpanel/cwaf/rules/28_Apps_WordPress.conf"] [line "97"] [id "225130"] [rev "1"] [msg "COMODO WAF: XSS vulnerability in the WordPress before 4.3.1 (CVE-2015-5714)||website.co.za|F|website.co.za|F|2"] [hostname "website.co.za"] [uri "/wp-admin/post.php"]

Checked Commodo rules and updated the rules to the latest version (1.97) and issue is resolved.

If you are your own server admin – check this
Other perhaps ask your host to check this

divemasterza, Not sure if that was the issue, but I believe it was. I had submitted a ticket to my host last night and this morning all works in wordpress.

I solved the problem by talking to host. It was about mod_security rule.
