    Howdy carlcs3,

I have seen this from time to time. We actually made a guide with some common troubleshooting steps: https://tri.be/support/documentation/troubleshooting-404-errors/

I hope you are able to get this fixed. Cheers!

Thanks Brook. Looks like there is a incompatibility with Templatic’s Tevolution plugin. This is central to their them so it looks like we won’t be able to use The Events Calendar plugin. Unless you have any other ideas.

Does the plugin allow for bulk export of events?

    Much appreciated?

    Hi carlcs3,

I’m sorry to hear that you won’t be able to keep using The Events Calendar. You can export events to an .ics file with the buttons at the bottom of each calendar view. You can use this snippet to get all the events in one file instead of needing to do multiple exports.

    Best,

Thank for reporting the incompatibility carl. If possible, we are going to see about obtaining a copy of Tevolution. From there see if there is something we or Templatic can change to make the two compatible. That can be a somewhat lengthy process though, probably will not help you if you are on a deadline to launch a site. Exporting the ics like Leah showed is a great way to get your data out in a broadly compatible format. Thanks again!

    Hey guys

I work for Templatic and… I don’t mind providing a copy of Tevolution. If you’re sure about giving it a go just send me an email.

I should mention that getting this thing done won’t be easy. Tevolution is designed to support events functionality within our own themes/plugins so that’s why it likely conflicts with others. It will likely be too costly to make them play well together.

    Cheers

Thanks Vedran. We are going to take you up on that kind offer. One very feasible possiblity is that a simple change in the settings of one or the other our plugins will fix this. I am wondering if by default we are both trying to use the /event/* slug. If so, change that setting and you are likely golden. Either way we will look into this some more so future users might be able to get the two to work together. Thanks again!

    Hey Brook

Yeah, that’s probably it. The default slug for Events inside Tevolution is “event”. Good news is that you can change this within the Tevolution plugin (Tevolution -> Customize Permalinks). Bad news is that you can’t change it without enabling the post type first; and to enable it you need the “Events Manager” plugin (which integrates into Tevolution). I can send you guys both if you’ll need them.

For whatever it is worth, with Vedrans help I was able to get a copy of Tevolution. I am able to run this plugin alongside The Events Calendar with no 404 errors. The two plugins are compatible. It is possible though that a certain combination of settings, or maybe a theme which ties into Tevolution has issues with TEC. Just to notify any future users viewing this thread.
