WordPress 4.4.2, The Events Calendar 4.1.0.1:

The calendar page itself is visible as expected. However, if I try adding a new event, I get a blank white page when I publish it. The posted event is visible in the event list in WP Admin, but if I try manually opening it from there, I get a 404. The posted event is also not visible on the calendar page of the site.

I am using Twenty Sixteen, but for good measure I tried disabling my custom CSS, as well as tried other default themes. No other plugins are active. I did check that I use “pretty” URLs, as per The Event Calendar knowledgebase article and did try several “pretty URL” options, flushing the permalinks each time to no effect. Also tried pasting the code snippet that “fixes a unique conflict with some plugins/themes” mentioned in the knowledgebase article into the functions.php file, same problem still.

And now that as a last resort, I tried addint the “?tribe_query_debug=true” code snippet to my functions.php, now the WHOLE SITE BROKE. Everything is all-white, I can’t even get into WP Admin anymore.

Since I cant seem to edit the post above: I got back into my WP by replacing functions.php with a clean file. I’ve now added the debug code snippet to it and here is the URL: https://46.101.186.157/tapahtuma/testi/?tribe_query_debug=true Not really sure what to make of it, but since the knowledgebase article asked to add the code and provide an example URL, there it is.

Since a lot of people seem to having 404 problems with both 4.1 and 4.1.0.1 and for some of them, reverting to an older version has fixed the problems, that’s what I also intended to try, but to gain access to the Download page with older versions I need to log in with a Modern Tribe account and nowhere do I see an option to actually register.

    This is not going well.

    Same problem in 4.0.7 ??

    Hey dnaumov,

Sorry to hear about your continuous issues ??
If you are getting a white screen that means there’s an error in the execution of the code. All those errors are logged in the server error log. Please reach out to your hosting company and gain access to the log to see if you see the actual error. Also what PHP version is your server running?

    Best,
    Nico
