Can I move customers from one site to another

It really depends what exactly are you looking to do and what information you want to transfer to your second site?

If you’re looking to move only users I’d suggest using plugins such as https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/wp-ultimate-csv-importer/ and then manually assign membership levels to those users.

my concern was if I added membership manually, I didn’t know what would happen with their recurring subscripts etc ie if they cancelled or didn’t pay.

The plans are already set up, can the subscriptions be moved too etc, so I can close down the original site?

You’re right, the billing info would not be transferred by doing it manually.

Usually I’d suggest using Membership 2 built in importer for that since it imports both users, their membership levels and the billing info but after testing it there is a bug so I couldn’t suggest that.

I’ve already notified our developer about this and we’re working on a fix.

thank you, so would I just export from one site and import to the second? (one the bug fixes are in place)

Unfortunately no, the bug is not fixed in this version. The importer is originally created to make a transition from old Membership plugin to Membership 2 on the same site.

The issue we experience with using it to export info from one site and import it to another is that PayPal for example has the post_id of the invoice, and when importing the invoices on another site the post_id on the new site is different, so Membership 2 can’t link the PayPal response with an existing post/invoice after import if that makes sense.

Our developer is currently working on a solution that will hopefully allow us to export info from one site and import it to another in the future.
