Looks like the 404 error is a permalinks issue. When I specify a custom structure, the links to the events posts become broken. However, when leaving the setting to default, everything works fine.

  • Disabling the permalink structure for EM doesn’t solve the problem for me. Get redirected back to the overview page.

    Running Litespeed on CentOS.

if you could set up a test area for me i could try and see

Did the 404 error come back?
I am using WordPress 3.2.1 … I had it working for a while, but now the error is back. And I really don’t want to reinstall the complete EM plugin.

I’ve tried the ‘Reset Permalink’ plugin … nothing has changed.

    Any idea?

not for me (and others as far as i know)

I am starting from scratch now.

What I have noticed, I can’t chose the Event page as the front page (Settings -> Reading -> A static Page -> Events)

it puts the event page in front, but the individual events give me the 404 error.

    Maybe worth knowing.

this is a known issue actually, it slipped though the cracks because it seems to be working for some. will revisit this

I’ve got the same problem as “graal77” ??
Even tried the following steps from the video tutorial:
    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZXj8sN2xbnk
But that doesn’t seem to work either.

I’m looking forward for the solution Marcus ??

    Hi all,

Im having a issue which I havent seen anyone else comment about.

I changed my Permalinks to https://website.com/sample-post/ ie /%postname%/.

Every thing works except “Manage my bookings” I get a 404 Error.

    Any thoughts?

I believe I need to change something here:

    $em_rules[$events_slug.'my\-bookings$'] = 'index.php?pagename='.$events_slug.'&bookings_page=1'; //page for users to manage bookings

Nashie, pls don’t double post, I answered you in your other topic

I really don’t want to be a PITA (at least not more than necessary ;-)) but Events Manager 404 problem has been giving me a hard time for the last couple of days.
    The setup is:
Site: https://www.jungephilharmonie.at (click “Termine” in the menu)
    WP 3.3.1 (DE version)
    EM 5.1.5
Manhattan Child Theme 1.0 by StudioPress on
    Genesis 1.8 Framework by StudioPress
Had the same problem before (since 5.1.3 if I remember correctly), did a complete de-install (including database clean-up) and re-installed EM.
Changed the event page to “Termine” (it’s a page, not a post) and the slug to “veranstaltungen”.
Changed the Events Manager settings accordingly.
Now current events are shown in the bottom left box on the homepage and link correctly to the single event page.
If I click on “Termine” though I get the dreaded 404 error.
If I open the Termine page in the WP admin area the box at the top of the page tells me that this is the Events Manager event page. The URL is okay.
custom permalink is set to /index.php/%postname% (it doesn’t work without the “index.php” on this vServer. Switching to default permalink would solve the problem but the results are dead ugly and not very SE friendly.
So how do I get rid of the 404 problem and still use the custom permalink?
    Any ideas?
    Help is very much appreciated!

could you pls post this in a new topic (this is old, long and unrelated to your issue), and also let us know if this is happening only to the events page and not single event pages?

also, did you check to see if the 2011 theme works?
