404 errors with permalinks set to %postname%.%post_id%

Hello. I really want to set my permalink structure as: domain.com/post-name.123 (123 is id of post). But it’s always 404 error. If I change . to , or – or _ they work perfectly. Can I use . for permalink structure? Thank you!
