404 – example.com/postname/example.com – adds sitename at the end of url

  • Hi, I am just after launching a website for a client, running on Avada theme and decided to do a quick seo audit with seoprofiler.com

    I was shocked to say the least.

    The website is kivotos ru

    The tool has shown some crazy amount of 404’s, and the links i looked through are weird:

    there’s the domain name added to author, tag, category and post links on the website and it looks like this:

    “https://kivotos.ru/tag/video/Kivotos.ru”
    “https://kivotos.ru/author/admin/Kivotos.ru”

    I am using Yoast and when I went to double-check the settings, all looked pretty normal to me.

    What could that be? Where is it coming from and how to fix it?
