404 for removed plugins

    I just learned about 410 today…this is new to me. I had no idea this was even a thing. So I’m figuring out how to do this. I have the plugin installed and it’s showing a list of 404 errors on my site, including a bunch of plugins that I have deleted. Do I really need to have a 410 for all of those too? I’m a little confused….if someone could help me out, I’d be most appreciative.

    Those 404’s are most likely from bots that are trying to find vulnerabilities on your site. There is not much you can do about that – I certainly wouldn’t bother worrying about 410s for those URLs as they will not affect the indexing/SEO of the real content on your site.
