404 for Static Pages

  • I tried to create a static page using the ‘Create Page’ option in 1.5 but when I click to view the page, I get a 404 error.

    I’ve changed my Permalink options to /%category%/%postname%/ could that be the problem? It worked fine when I tested it on my other domain, but after doing it all the same on my main site, it’s not working ??

    Any help would be much appreciated

    I should add that using the default link structure (?page_id=2) works fine, but changing the permalink borks it. I would much prefer to have the new permalink that I tried to use if at all possible
