404 image not found

Hi,
I am tryng to use this plugin but When I insert the code in htaccess file, upload to the server, refresh page…I don’t get any image basically the msg is “resource not found in the server”
My wordpress files are inside dev/ folder, in the root I have index.php and htaccess file so the code should be like this?
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_URI} dev/wp-content/uploads
RewriteRule \.(?:jpe?g|gif|png)$ dev/wp-content/plugins/new-nine-adaptive-images/adaptive-images.php [L]https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/new-nine-adaptive-images/
