404 Logs – /embed/t.value

    Hello,

    I recently started using Slim SEO on my website. I checked the 404 Logs today, and I am seeing a lot of URL’s that end with /embed/t.value For example, I have Learn More and Classes pages on my website, and I see learn-more/embed/t.value and our-essentrics-classes/embed/t.value on the list of URLs in the 404 Logs. What is embed/t.value? What is the underlying issue I need to solve?

    I am using Astra Pro theme, Spectra Pro, WooCommerce and Forminator (free) plugins.

    The 404 log logs the URLs that don’t exist when users visit your site. These URLs might come from other sources, usually external sources, like people sharing wrong URLs, or some bots auto crawl/create/discover URLs elsewhere, or malicious URLs that someone wants to exploit your site, etc. Because of that, Slim SEO has no idea where they come from.

    We’d suggest you use a tool like Screaming Frog or our premium plugin Slim SEO Link Manager to scan all links on your site to detect *internal* links to see if there are any incorrect links. For external sources, like social networks, forums, blogs, that have links (incorrect) to your site, please use a tool like Ahrefs.

    Hi @rilwis, thank you for the recommendations on the additional tools. I was hoping to hear a specific response about embed/t.value. Now that I pay attention to the date & time, I think those URL’s came from a support rep of GoDaddy (my site is hosted by GoDaddy) trying to test the issue with the password reset link looping.

    Those seem to come from OpenAI ChatGPT crawlers

    Useragent: Mozilla/5.0 AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko; compatible; GPTBot/1.2; +https://openai.com/gptbot)

    I am having these request as well, wonder if it’s some king of attack
