404 message

  • Installed and had WordPress running for a week. On Monday I moved it from a folder to the server’s root directory. Everything still behaviored. After installed a couple of plugins, added and moved the widgets around I started to get messages as this whenever I clicked on items on the sidebar. BTW I can’t post either.

    Not Found

    The requested URL /about.html/ was not found on this server.

    Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.
    Apache/2.0.52 (CentOS) Server at dailyqi.com Port 80

    Uninstalling the plugins made no difference. What may the cause be? A new install of WordPress?
