Background: After updating to 4.9.8 and all my plugins, my site went down. I deactivated my plugins through CPanel by renaming until I was able to catch the culprit (it was W3 Total Cache.. others have had same issue).

Current problem: Gallery by BestWebSoft no longer works (yes, I renamed back to normal and reactivated). I get 404s where the gallery should be. Also, when I click the plugin’s
settings button, I get a “Sorry, you are not allowed to access this page.” message.

Normally I would reinstall, but unfortunately, much work went into several galleries with captions. (I gave a link to where one of several galleries should be).

Is there anyway to retrieve the plugin’s data? Where would that be stored?

Or should I just roll up my sleeves and remake the galleries?

    Thank you!

    Hi,

    Thank you for contacting us!
We apologize for taking so long in responding to your email.
Unfortunately, we cannot reproduce this problem on our local environment. Please provide the access credentials to your WordPress admin dashboard (with Administrator’s permissions) and the FTP credentials (host, username, and password), in order to detect the reason and find the solution.

During making tests we’ll probably deactivate some of your plugins or switch the theme. That’s why before giving the access, we recommend you to make a full backup of your site.

Since this data is confidential, maybe, it would be better if you create a private ticket on our support forum (https://support.bestwebsoft.com/hc/en-us/requests/new). Please include a link to this post, so that we could recall the case immediately.
