• I can’t get the “404 not found” off my blog (www.marshajefferson.com). Also, I don’t know how to put a calendar and a “sign me up” on my blog. Please help. Thanks.

  • The 404 will disappear when you publish at least 1 post. Or alternatively, you might want to look at creating a static front page.

Not sure what you mean by “a calendar”. An event calendar, perhaps? As for the sign me up, what do you want people to sign up to?

I’m ready to post my first blog article. Do I need to add “tags”? How do I do that? The “sign me up” is to receive my blog articles as I post them. Also, I’d like to add a picture in my blog artice as well as post a picture of myself on the blog itself. How do I do that?

Not unless you want to use them.

    See Writing_Posts.

Anyone can add your RSS feed to their news reader. If you want email updates sent out, then I’d suggest setting up a Feedburner account and using a Feedburner plugin.

See Using_Images. The Codex generally should have the answers to most of your questions.

as well as post a picture of myself on the blog itself.

If your theme does not offer a pre-built option to do this, then you may need to carry out some theme customisation. Or publish an image in a text widget on your sidebar.

Can you recommend someone to me that can help me setup my blog the way I want it? I’ll pay them, of course. I’m not tech-savvy. This is entirely too hard for me to do on my own.

I can only suggest that you try https://jobs.wordpress.net/
Also, as you have now asked for paid services, I will have to close the topic as per the Forum Rules.

Best of luck with your site. ??
