Try re-saving your permalink structure at Settings/Permalinks in your admin panel. If WordPress cannot automatically edit the .htaccess file, it will provide manual instructions after saving.

    You’re welcome!

    Hi James,

I updated my media gallery and now none of my pages are accessible. I get the 404 error. I want to go back to custom but now it only works by default. When I try to change it back to custom it tells me to update hta access and I have no idea how to do that. Would value some help.

I have this error code – actually I have three of four of them. Could you help me?
