    Hello,

I am getting 404 on many of the product pages. i have tried 2 staging areas, one with setting the “Change Destination” called dev and the other with simply entering stg in the “Enter site name field”

    Both give the same issue.

on the same note, all menu links seem to point to a proper url like https://kava.house/stg/my-account/orders/ but when you press it you get the 404 and then all the website links become the live site. as if you are taken to the live site and shown the 404 error so you are now on the live site. https://kava.house

went over to permalikns and saved it again but no use.

    Common Settings:
    Post name https://kava.house/dev/sample-post/

    Product permalinks:
    Custom base product/

I am running OLS on Ubuntu and MariaDB LOMP

    2. do i have to login for simply visiting the staging site?

    Thank you for your support

Yes, but this can be disabled in wp staging settings.

Please also check out this article to activate the permalink settings properly:
    https://wp-staging.com/docs/activate-permalinks-staging-site/

I am certain that your issue is related to incorrect server settings for a staging site in a subfolder.

We can help you with that, but it would be best to use our support page as mentioned above as we need more information about your system configuration.

Edit: You use OpenLitespeed; this needs a different permalink configuration:

    Hi Rene,

I followed the link on OLS but could not find something relevant. I need simple steps like the other instructions you have for apache and nginx. I do not mind if you want to have a look at yourself. Please let me know how i can finalize this as it has taken its toll on my work.

    Thank you,
    Kelly

    Hi Kelly,

    > I do not mind if you want to have a look at yourself.

Me and my team are glad to have a look at this. OpenLitespeed is not popular compared to Apache or Nginx, so we don’t have an instruction for it currently. We might be able to work this out on your site and can create a step-by-step instruction then.

Please contact us through our support page and add a link to this post please: https://wp-staging.com/support/

    Hi Rene,

Strangely it seems to be working. I only did some theme settings and updated perfmatters and LiteSpeed cache settings disabled hide my wp and wp hardening plugins on the main site since yesterday. i also, created a no cache and other settings page rule on Cloudflare, until we finish development as their dev mode lasts only for 3 hours.

This is what i did yesterday and to my pleasant surprise as i tried it today it is working. I will continue trying from my end to make sure it works before i hand it over to dev. but please advise if you can find any reason why it was not working so we could at least know the root cause.

    Best regards,
    Kelly
