I am just setting up a new wordpress blog and everything is working swell except for the RSS feeds which 404.

you can view the blog here: https://www.strungoutstringband.com/

I’ve searched around and the only solution I’ve found that fixes the problem is:

    https://www.ads-software.com/support/topic/162192?replies=4

this solution works but requires moving to the default permalink structure. This breaks many incoming links to my site and is sub-par for many reasons. Is there any way to fix the 404 problem with the feeds without changing the permalinks? adding a line to the .htaccess file perhaps?

for those of you still reading here’s some more troubleshooting information.

    • I have disabled all my plugins and the problem persists.
    • I have tried going to individual feed links such as feed/atom to no avail.
    • I have tried the default themes which also made no difference

any help would be greatly appreciated. I’ll buy you a cupcake.

seems that posts in a category for the event plugin were not showing up in the feed. those having been the only posts I had made on the site the feed was empty and consequently was 404ing.

    apologies for wasting everyone’s time.

Im getting this error as after an upgrade my rss feed stopped working
Any help is appreciated to fix this – there is more details in the coding which was error yellow I can include if someone thinks they can help me

    This feed does not validate.

In addition, interoperability with the widest range of feed readers could be improved by implementing the following recommendations.

line 149, column 0: content:encoded should not contain onclick attribute (380 occurrences) [help]

    <div class=’bookmarkify’><div class=’title’ title= …
