I have a new store with WooCommerce setup but when I submit an order (order is successful – payments, emails, everything works) I get a 404 on the order received page. I saw previous posts and disabled plugins and updated permalinks and still get the same error. What do I do next?

    Hello @derek072,

The mobile issue could be related to a theme or plugin conflict. However, while I was checking out your https://ourquadrupleaim.com/dev site, I noticed a 404 error on the cart page too, and this is happening on both mobile and desktop.

To isolate the issue, please try the following steps:

    1. Go to Settings > Permalinks > Permalink structure > Select Post name as shown here: https://dsh.re/d0860. If the issue persists, I suggest contacting your hosting provider as it seems your site is having an Apache mode rewrite issue. You can also follow this guide: https://help.vodien.com/articles/mod-rewrite-for-wordpress-permalinks/
    2. Temporarily switch to a default WordPress theme like Storefront and see if the problem persists.
    3. If the problem is resolved, it means your theme is causing the issue. If it’s still there, proceed to the next step.
    4. Deactivate all your plugins except WooCommerce and test again.
    5. If the problem is resolved, reactivate your plugins one by one until you find the one causing the issue.

Regarding the persistent error on the “order-received” page, it might be helpful to enable WordPress debugging to get more information about the error. Here’s a guide on how to do this: https://www.ads-software.com/support/article/debugging-in-wordpress/

Please let us know how it goes. If you continue to have trouble, we’ll explore further options.

So I did a little more checking the view cart 404 does not occur if I am logged into the site as an admin. If you are not logged then it occurs. Not sure if that helps. 404 on orders received occurs on all pages.

I have tried turning off plugins, but the issues are the same. Debugging log was included a few days ago, but here is an updated export: 20231206 wp debug – Pastebin.com

Could you please confirm if the cart page has been switched to draft or made private? If so, this would make sense, as only an admin can access private or draft pages.

The pages were in draft, once published everything worked – thanks!
