• Hi its all set up now, i have been testing it with a 1p paypal link. when ive paid, had my email followed the link all is ok, (even though i must admit it does a little long winded lol. The issue ive got is when i click on reest password it returns me to a 404 page not found. If i was a real customer i am then lost as I recieve no fresh email, no members area link i wouldnt know where to go. Have i set something up wrong ?

  • Hi. What’s the URL the reset password link is trying to use? (Right-click and select Copy Link Address.) Thanks in advance.

What do you mean url reset password link?

What is the address of the web page in the email?

merlinbiz, is that password reset link in the wp-login.php? could you give me the URL to your site to take a look?

s2Member doesn’t change the password reset feature, so if you’re having trouble with it, it’s most likely another plugin or the theme.

Looking forward to your update. ??

Hi guys sorry for delay in replying.

I appear to have sorted the 404 error, not sure how but main thing is I have been testing it all & it all appears to be ok so thats main thing.

ONe more quick question if I may tho,

Everytime someone signs up ie new user. i get the email to say i have a new registration, which is great BUT I also get another email saying just:
    _________________________________________________________
    WordPress <[email protected]>
    12:16 (3 minutes ago)

    to info
Password Lost and Changed for user: richardmoore_test
    ___________________________________________________________

why do i kep getting this lost & changed email ?

I’m glad you sorted out the 404. ??

    I don’t know why you’re getting that other email…

Are you allowing users to set their password on registration or is WP sending it to them? WP Admin -> s2Member -> General -> Registration/profile Fields & Options -> Custom Password

Did you customize this email with s2 or is it set to default? WP Admin -> s2Member -> General -> Email -> New User

I doubt it’s s2Member, I haven’t seen others report that behavior. You may want to try the troubleshooting steps I suggest here: https://s2member.net/troubleshooting-tips-21

Let me know how it goes. ??
