Great Plugin, thank you. One minor issue I am experiencing is that the Page I created for my custom 404 displays as a blog Post when accessed as an error page. It comes up as it should when I navigate to the actual page URL, but when it’s pulled as an error page then it looks like a blog Post.

This is on WordPress 4.4.2 running Customizr theme and version 2.0 of the 404page plugin.

    Thanks.

Additional piece of information that I just noticed:

I have my site set up so that the blog posts are not the front page. They are under
    www.[my site]/news

Now, as mentioned above, if I hit the 404 page from the Pages on the main site then it incorrectly displays as a blog Post. However, if I hit the 404 page from the /news blog, then is properly shows up with the Page formatting. It appears that the 404 page is pulling it’s formatting from the blog Post section when it’s arrived at from a Page, and it’s pulling the Page formatting when it’s arrived at from the blog Posts.

I hope this helps (and makes sense).

Same problem with WordPress 4.4.2 and Divi 2.6.4.4 when updating from 404page 1.4 to 404page 2.0.

With this theme (Divi), the target pages also don’t keep the full page layout but are also displayed in blog post layout (tested with the same results on 4 different websites).

Nothing more to add. zerohere has already perfectly described the issue.

Thanks for your detailed description. Unfortunately I’m not able to reproduce this on my dev blog with Customizr theme activated. Would you please post a link to your site, so that I can take a look into the HTML code.

Hi, I can’t let the 2.0 plugin activated on a customer website.
Please use a form on my website https://www.webzenitude.com to contact me.
We could organize a quick skype.

I’ve uploaded the current development version. Please download and install https://downloads.www.ads-software.com/plugin/404page.zip. Maybe the changes I’ve made for SiteOrigin’s Page Builder also solve this problem. Please test it and let me know.

    Regards,
    Peter

Final version 2.1 is out right now. Please confirm the problem is solved and the topic can be marked as resolved.
