    Hi

At the moment when I click on the send button after filling in all fields a 404 page not found is generated. Perhaps there should be an option to select a page to open after clicking on the send button.

It will be nice to have the option to show or not show the disclaimer text “By submitting this form, you are granting ….”. In the meantime how do I hide it?

Solutions to the above problems would be much appreciated.

    Thanks

It should just refresh the page it’s currently on and display a thank you/success message. One question that I’m kind of curious about is if you have permalinks enabled at the moment, or if it’s just the default urls.

Regarding the disclaimer, there’s no setting to toggle it off. It’s my understanding that Constant Contact wants it in place for compliance reasoning. That said, it wouldn’t be impossible to hide via CSS.

Yes permalink is enabled and in a subdomain whilst I’m deveoping the site, a solution to this would be great. As for the disclaimer I used css to hide it as you suggested.

What’s the URL you’re starting on, and what url are you ending up on after submission? Do you have any sort of setups in the theme or perhaps other plugins that are facilitating redirecting of other things? Curious if something is inadvertently redirecting this as well.

The starting url is like this https://www.demosite.co.uk/clientsdomain and the url after submission is https://www.demosite.co.uk/clientsdomain/clientsdomain

Above is not the actual url but you get the idea. It’s a Woocommerce site so the only redirecting take place when making payment, then it redirects to SagePay or PayPal.

Can you do a view source on the form page and locate the <form tag and let me know the full value provided for the action attribute? Curious if it’s an absolute or relative url, where the relative url could end up constructing itself in a way that you’re seeing above.

Any followup for this one Tony?

Many thanks for all your help. I truly appreciate your efforts but I uninstalled it in the end as it simply didn’t work for me.

Understood. Thanks for letting us know.

I am having this same problem. The action for the form has the repeating url subdirectories. I am wondering if there is anything you can do to help with this.

I am also having this problem- after submitting the form it redirects to 404 page not found…. the form action adds the subdirectory twice- i.e. if I am on melissaharris.com/clone the form code redirects to melissaharris.com/clone/clone

Since this thread is erroneously marked as resolved (an issue is not resolved if the problem is not solved…. having to uninstall the plugin because it will just not work and no solution has been offered is not resolved…) I am also going to open a new thread

What permalink structures are you both using?

For what it’s worth, the thread got marked resolved because the original reporter moved on, and thus far it had been the only reported case of the issue at hand. Thus we don’t object to others chiming in if they had similar/same issues.

My problem is exactly like tmgdesigns. I am using day and name permalink structure.

I am using post name permalinks

By the way- if I use the form on https://www.melissaharris.com/clone/about/ it works fine- it only adds the double sub-directory on the home page

Thanks for clarifying your protocol as to resolved threads. Sorry to open a new thread…

Checking on some things, thanks for providing the permalinks info. Also thanks for the patience thus far as this came up right as we were celebrating Thanksgiving.

No worries regarding the 2nd thread opened.

Can both of you try out this version with a minor change regarding the <form> that gets output. I’m curious if us trying to set the action property is interfering here in ways we didn’t predict.
