I have an achievement type with a slug of ‘title’ that is not working. No titles display, always gives a 404 error. Achievement type ‘quests’ works, achievement type ‘badges’ works.

Changing the slug to ANYthing doesn’t fix the problem – just changes it so that instead of a 404 you get redirected to the home page. I have no other plugin using the slug ‘title’ so this shouldn’t even matter.

I don’t know how long this has been going on, sorry. Using thrive themes, no conflicts that I know of. Flushing permalinks did not do anything. Please advise.

Made some progress, got to the point where if I have default permalinks (ugly) set, the title will show up, but as soon as I change back to postname custom permalink, all titles broken again.

EDIT – now even that doesn’t work, really not sure what’s up. No other cpt with ‘title’ slug.

Welp, changed to agch2019 for the slug and refreshed permalinks and now it works. But for the life of me I cannot say what else would have the slug ‘title’ to make this change required ??

    Hi @peeld

On WordPress, there is a list of reserved terms that can’t be used on custom slugs since WordPress already use them for multiples purposes and the word “title” is one of them

There is the list of this reserved terms:
