I’ve been using this plug-in for years with no problem. I am not sure if it is because I upgraded WordPress to the latest version… or something to do with the plugin itself. Now all of the products listed with Grid Product are showing 404 errors. I’ve double-checked the page names and it should work. Any help would be appreciated… or I’ll be forced to find a different solution… which I hope is not the case since this has been stable.

Thank you in advance for your assistance!

  • I’m seeing the same thing. Looks like nobody’s supporting the plugin any more. ??

Going to rummage around – I think it might be something to do with this:

Will update here if I figure out how to fix it. ??

Think I’ve found a fix for this. I think it might be because I installed another plugin that also has a taxonomy called ‘Product’ and that’s conflicted. Not sure of the exact reason though.

But anyway, try this: go to Settings->Permalinks, and on that page click ‘Save Changes’. Once I’d done that, all the pages started resolving properly.

I don’t normally reply to problems that are based on the fact that you never followed the install instructions.

“go to Settings->Permalinks, and on that page click ‘Save Changes’. Once I’d done that, all the pages started resolving properly.”

    which is clearly stated….

    installation page:

Extract the zip file and upload the contents to the wp-content/plugins/ directory of your WordPress installation and then activate the plugin from plugins page.

The plugin registers a new custom post type, so you’ll want to update your permalinks. No need to change your permalink structure, just go to “Settings->Permalinks” and click “Save Changes” without making any modifications.

Yes… except that @csinia has been using this plugin for years. So clearly, it wasn’t an installation issue. @moddish, your rude response makes me want to find and use a different plugin.

Thank you @missdeja for recognizing a bit of shall we say “salty-ness” in the @moddish response.

    Dear @moddish

@missdeja is correct in the assumption that this plugin had been used for years, as it states in the original post and had been working and yes, I did follow the installation instructions… hence it had been working for years.

    Dear All GridProducts Plugin Users,

Please note that ANYTIME I’ve updated this plugin, I’ve had to go to Settings-Update Permalinks, and on that page click ‘Save Changes’. You don’t have to make any changes, just do those instructions… everytime there’s an update. I also have had to do this after deactivating the plugin and reactivating. This isn’t something that is simply only done upon initial installation as stated above. So, if you get a 404 error after initial installation, that is the fix. Thank you all!
