404 Page Redirects to Spam

Looks clean to me. Maybe you’ve still got the spam ad in your browser cache? I just loaded a 404 and didn’t see anything unusual on the page or in the page source.

DO you have an example URL that your site is redirecting from? I don’t see that when I create a 404.

I actually was able to solve it which is why you’re seeing it correctly. There were 2 folders added to wp-content/plugins called wpppml and wpppml1. Once they were deleted, the problem was solved.

I just noticed that instead of showing the 404 page not found, my site is displaying a Penis Enlargment spam page.

It’s adware. It does not show up in scanning results just because they are inserted as if you inserted those links. But, they are as bad as malware and it simply shows your site has been compromised. I would suggest to start working your way through the following resources that are recommended for malware/ hacks:

I had a wpppm folder, as soon as i removed it, problem solved.

though I’d like to know where it came from so i can avoid it in future.
