• Not sure if it’s a conflict with another plugin, but after install and experiencing the issue, I did a save permalinks again to be sure, but every time I try to save the configuration, I get a 404 page not found.
Looks like a good plugin though. Too bad it didn’t work for me.

What page are you trying to save. Is it the CRP settings page? I’ve not seen anyone mention an issue like this. Do you have this issue even if you delete and use the plugin again?

CRP doesn’t touch any permalinks at all, so saving Permalinks should not make a difference.

Sounds like a plugin support forum question to me and not a review. How can you give a review of a plugin if it didn’t work for you? Bizarre.

Unfortunately, it’s something that as a plugin author we need to deal with ??

I still try my best to convince them to change it.

@ajay – I hear you brother. ?? I get support questions posted as plugin reviews all the time. I think the general misconception by users is that they believe the plugin Review posting area is like a product purchase page review or testimonial. ie “I bought this product and it does not work for me or I am not satisfied with the product”. I can see how that misinterpretation is made for what the Plugin Review posting area is actually for. ??

The logic to me for when a Plugin Review should be posted is this (Assuming a plugin works for the majority of other folks and something is not broken in the plugin that is affecting everyone):
A user has tried the plugin and it is working, but they find things in the plugin that they feel could be improved or enhanced. The user should offer ideas and suggestions for improvements or at bare minimum just report exactly what and why they dislike something in the plugin. Informative and well described feedback/reviews have greatly contributed to me personally making improvements and enhancements to my plugin. The other types of inappropriate plugin Reviews that get posted just serve to confuse, mislead or make other users afraid to use a plugin. Personally I feel that is a selfish thing to do and a disservice to the WordPress Commmunity as a whole. The general idea should be to contribute with the idea of always helping to continue to improve things and make things better and not just to randomly rant or dump on other people since that does not help anyone or serve any sort of positive progress or purpose.

I completely agree with you! And, many of the 1-star reviewers rarely come back to read the response ??

I’ve actually had more feature inspirations from support requests rather than from plugin reviews, because most users who want me to improve something usually just ask.

I always hope that my 5-star reviews help vs. the 3 and below stars. So far, It’s working and at least it assures users that the plugin actually works!

And, many of the 1-star reviewers rarely come back to read the response

Yep, exactly because the goal of that user was to punish you for creating a free plugin. ha ahhhahah ha ahah ahha ha ?? Kidding aside, that kind of stuff used to really bother me a lot, but these days I feel sympathetic towards them. ie how bad their life or mental state must be if they are acting like that/doing things like that. ??

This is actually a fact: too many (ie all 5 star ratings or 99% 5 star ratings) 5 star ratings can actually be a bad thing. Wierd, but true. The logic is that if someone sees all 5 star ratings then psychologically that automatically triggers suspicion or doubt. Wierd, but a proven fact. So some bad ratings mixed in with predominately good ratings is perfect and what you want. ??

Ha ha… Yeah, it helps having the occasional non-5 star!
