Hi, I’m having a problem with my website. When I install plugins that need redirect validation, my website automatically redirects to 404 pages, instead of redirecting to the landing page. Please check my website, thanks!

Thanks for reaching out. While we can only assist with Site Kit related queries If you’d like to share the following information on this we’d be happy to assist, or point you in the right direction.

    1. When you mention you’re redirected are these redirects occurring within Site Kit?
    2. Is Site Kit working as expected for you, or is this a general issue with your website overall?

Let me know if you have any queries on the above.

I think the toolkit still works, but Clicking on “Sign in with google” did nothing but return a blank screen with the following URL: https://notechvn.com/?action=googlesitekit_proxy_setup&googlesitekit_code=sitekit-gbJ7AyqLrsomUwDi4LRM6B&googlesitekit_site_code=4%2F0AX4XfWgBOZE-m7nZoTEXzmd4j_bz5jAUZA3zoMpBHaVzdEedxo5h6_69I5Q

I would really like this feature to work.

Hi, I get a message like this ” Unknown Error (code: The cURL request was retried 3 times and did no succeed. cURL was unable to rewind the body of the request and subsequent retries caused in the same error. Turn on the debug option) to see what went wrong. See https://bugs.php.net/bug.php?id=47204 for more information.).”

Thanks for the update. It sounds like your using the WordPress Toolkit from your hosting control panel.

Have you tried logging into your site directly in order to install Site Kit from the plugin repository (Plugins > Add New > Site Kit > Install)? If the same occurs please share your Site Health information using our escalations form and I’ll check your setup. Please be sure to include your current hosting provider where requested. While cURL errors are usually something that must be addressed at host level I can check your site setup for anything which may be impacting setup.

Thanks for the update. Unfortunately such errors cURL can only be addressed at hosting level, commonly for Site Kit users with changes to a sites cacert or php.ini file as per this comment. Before suggesting you perform any checks at host level if you’d like to share your Site Health information I can check and see if I spot anything unusual with your site setup.

Along with your Site Health information it would be great to know at what stage you’re redirected at (ie. After clicking on a particular button).

Thanks for the updates. My website is: notechvn.com. And the hosting I am using is from the hostinger. I get redirected when I click on the google account access confirmation button for the plugin.

Thanks for the update. We didn’t receive any Site Health information report for your site as requested to check your setup. Regardless as this is a cURL related error have you checked with Hostinger? You’ll need to check and ensure your website is able to communicate with https://sitekit.withgoogle.com. This can be checked sing the following cURL command:

    curl -I https://sitekit.withgoogle.com

You’ll find more details on this in this GitHub issue, or by reviewing another users experience in this support topic.

Sorry I can’t be of more assistance on this.

I installed the plugin and got a message like this attached:
Your site may not be ready for Site Kit
Looks like your site is having a technical issue with requesting data from Google services.
To get more help, ask a question on our support forum and include the text of the original error message:
    google_api_connection_fail

    Hi @davisphan,

I’m happy to help as far we I can. In order to do so can you share your Site Health information usig this form. If we can’t spot anything unusual in relation to your environment you’ll need to reach out to your hosting provider, suggest they perform some cURL checks as mentioned above. There may be firewall rules or a misconfigured cacert.pem file as per pervious users referenced.

    Hi James,

I have the exact same issue. May I submit my Site Health via the link you provide too? Thank you!

    Regards,
    MZ

Many thanks for sharing the additional information. After inspecting the details I can confirm there is nothing unusual with your site setup. The cURL error you’re encountering is due to something at host level.

If you’re able to change PHP versions from your hosting control panel can you try to switch to any PHP 7.3 version before attempting setup once more?

Many thanks for the update, glad to hear that worked. Out of curiosity did you at any point make any changes to your PHP 7.4 environment, or did Site Kit work on this site previously at any point while on 7.4?
