• Hi ,I made a custom 404 in my pages section but it has been automatically named

    https://www.mysite.com/404-2
so I know there is another 404 kicking around my wordpress but cannot find it.When I test 404 sure enough my hidden and blank 404 loads instead of my custom one with nice graphic.

Can anyone please tell me where my default 404 is hiding so I can paste my text and jpeg into it !

    P.S I’m using headway theme.

I found that Headway theme has a default “Whoops! 404 error page” but I have no clue how to dump my text and jpeg into the blank page from my wordpress made 404 page.
So anyone who uses Headway with wordpress please give me a tip on that. It’s driving me up the wall.

I find wordpress back-end more intuitive than Headway theme.

Have you posted this in the Headway Support forums? (just curious – I’m a support gal at Headway Themes)

The documentation on Page Layouts may help you out here.

404 Page: The 404 page is what visitors will see when they hit a bad link on your site or the page can’t be found. At installation, this template automatically pulls content from the Whoops! 404 Error WordPress page that Headway creates when activated. In this way, you can easily edit the content of your 404 page to make it more interesting and appealing to your vistor by simply editing the text from the WordPress Edit Page screen. If your 404 page is not pulling the Whoops! content properly, ensure that you haven’t “broken” the content options by linking the page to another or applying a leaf template. The system 404 page must always remain unlinked in order to properly operate, and the content leaf needs to be set to pull content from the Whoops! 404 page. You can find this setting on the first tab of options when editing the content leaf.

Sorted .I deleted a leaf on the whoops ! 404 and pulled the content on my second 404 page into the whoops page.

Thanks ! Did not know it was a headway issue so I’ll know which forum to post on next time !

Thanks mommygeekology! That fixed my issue too.
