    Hi,

I just updated my plugin from 4.5.6 to 4.5.8, and I’m now getting a “Page not found/404” on my event pages (only): https://www.example.com/event/venuename/2017-07-16/ . Also, when I click on “See All” for a specific event, it redirects to a random page of my site.

I followed the steps recommended in your article “solving 404 event pages”, but nothing worked (flushing permalinks + copying snippet of code in function.php).

I’ll update to 4.5.7 to see if the problem is 4.5.7 or 4.5.8 update.

    Thanks

Okay, since 4.5.7 is working fine, I can confirm that the “404” bug is caused by 4.5.8. I haven’t installed any other plugin or theme since I have been running 4.5.6. The problem is definitely linked to your latest update.

This is something you might want to look at ASAP, as it might be affecting thousands of other users outthere.

    Hi @nikkoboy,

Thanks for bringing this up. Our development team is already working to fix this bug as soon as possible.

To immediately solve the problem, please access your Dashboard and head over to Settings > Permalinks for a permalink flush (no need to change anything, just visit the Permalinks page).

I apologize for this issue and appreciate your understanding and patience.

Let us know if you need anything else in the meantime!

    Regards,

    Patricia

Same here – no Permalinks for a permalink flush option? UGH! 404’s galore!

Similar issue here (500 error) since update to 4.5.8
When deactivating the plugin it all works fine.
Visiting the Permalink page, playing with it, updating, saving, etc. made no difference.
    Any solution yet?

    Hi @patriciahillebrandt,

I was checking in to see if this issue has been resolved in the latest release of the event calendar 4.5.8.1. Could you confirm before we all update to this new version?

    Thanks!

    Hi @nikkoboy,

Welcome back! Actually, this specific problem was associated with a permalink update for recurring events and the solution was the permalink flush mentioned in my initial reply.

Since this is a feature associated with the PRO version of The Events Calendar, if you are still getting 404 errors with recurring events, please open a new topic in our premium forum where we will respond to you within 24 hours during the week.

@entrepreneur-academyeu the 500 internal server error is a slightly different problem and it might be associated with a plugin or theme conflict. I would suggest you follow this tutorial to determine if a conflict is happening and find out what is causing it.

    Thanks!

    Hi @patriciahillebrandt,

I just udpated theeventcalendar to its latest version (4.5.9), and the bug is still here. I’m still getting the 404/Page not found when trying to access individual events.

I’m indeed using the pro version of the plugin. But since my support is expired, I cannot update the plugin to its latest version (4.4.15), nor can I post a bug report on the pro forum.

Basically, this means that all users who paid $80 for the pro version, end up today with an unusable plugin. I’d really appreciate if you could make the next version of the free event calendar plugin, compatible with the event calendar pro at least until 4.4.

I’m sorry to put it like this, but it’s a ripoff to render a paying plugin obsolete, just to cash in $80 every year from a premium user.

    Hi @nikkoboy,

I know this must be frustrating. Unfortunately, licensing is tricky like that, because there are cut off dates, but we do offer the option to renew for access to support and updates.

At any rate, would you please flush your permalinks? I’ve had other users try this out with success. ??

You can also reference the documentation here about fixing 404’s in our plugins.

Please let us know if this helps!

    Best,

    Shelby ??
