    ah, but you should not make any change to autoptimizeCache.php really. just create wp-content/AO_htaccess_tmpl and inside that file put any .htaccess rule you want (so probably the code you have in cache/autoptimize/.htaccess now plus the code to do the “410 Moved Permantly” response).

    If that file is present, AO will use that instead of the hardcoded .htaccess rules in autoptimizeCache.php ??

    OK thanks. Only thing left I guess: which extension should i use for AO_htaccess_tmpl? No extension?
