maybe permalinks need to be changed and returned to the originally selected permalinks. have you done that before in the SETTINGS > PERMALINKS area? can you share a screenshot of your permalinks area?

I have permalinks set to post-name /sample-post/. Should I reset them?

you can try to change and then change back.not sure if that will be the fix. are the post categories related to any custom post type? can you share the URL of your site?

I will try to change the permalinks and change back. The URL of my site is https://goldmangodesign.com

These 404 errors keep showing up on all my site crawls.

    Thanks for your help.

Sorry I misunderstood, I thought the 404s were making area(s) of your site unavailable to visitors.

The site is up. Those specific portfolio-category urls are always listed as 404 errors on my site crawl reports. I did change the permalinks and change them back as you suggested so I am hoping that fixed the issue. Will run a site crawl and check again. Will post an update once I know if it it fixed the issue.

    Thanks for your help.

Changing the permalinks and changing them back did not fix the issue with 404 errors on the portfolio-category urls. Will probably have to fix it with redirects.
