406 Not acceptable error not allowing access to admin backend

  • I know this has been posted before but I cannot get my website admin area working.
    The site is https://www.kathymillatt.co.uk/blog. The site itself is working fine.

    I have disabled and re-enabled all plugins and themes.

    I have uploaded a fresh wp-login.php file from a fresh WP download.

    I have disabled the .htaccess files (and now re-enabled).

    My iPad was already logged on from last week so has not been through the front end screen – everything is working well but any devices such as my iPhone or Mac cannot log on without getting the 406 error:

    Not Acceptable
    An appropriate representation of the requested resource /blog/wp-login.php could not be found on this server.
    Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

    I have contacted my host who say everything looks fine.

    What can I do next?
