Hello, I have just installed metaslide with the latest wordpress.

I am able to create slides with images. However, when I add a slide using a video previously uploaded to our video library, I am seeing an “error (409)” message. the video is a regular .mp4 and can be seen on our home page just below the slider: https://www.autosportlabs.com

I can otherwise see the video in the Media library.
I have searched the help and saw no mention of this.

What can I do to diagnose?

Thank you very much for your help.

Hi @aslservices. Thanks for using MetaSlider. Can I ask if you’re using the Pro version of MetaSlider. The video feature is only available in MetaSlider Pro.

Thanks for the reply. I am using the free.

I think the pro video feature you are mentioning is about external videos.

This is a locally uploaded video file, which it is allowing me try to select.

Only after selecting it does it show an error message. If it was restricted to a “Pro” version, then it should tell me in advance.

Therefore, it appears to be a bug or another problem.

OK, thanks @aslservices. Yes, I do see your point.

MetaSlider will normally hide the videos by default, but you can find them using the “Videos” dropdown and it will produce that 409 error.

Thanks for letting us know. We’ll find a way to make this more graceful in the next release.

Hi, thanks for the reply. Is it your intention to allow locally hosted videos to work in the slider, when this is fixed?

Hi @aslservices. Sorry, that is a feature in the Pro version. We do intend to improve the messaging if someone does navigate through the Media Library and selects a video.
