410 (Gone) redirection not working

  • It looks like 410 (Gone) redirection should be possible but it is not working.

    It is hidden deep inside Redirections.
    You have to add URL with Action = Error (404). Then you have to edit it and change HTTP Code to 410 – Gone.

    As simple as this but still it is not working. After setting up, it shows 410 in Type column but it does not return 410 code. It does 404 instead, including recording it on 404s list.

    It doesn’t matter weather source URL is plain or regex.

    What do I do wrong?

    New update arrived last day but nothing changed according to my question ??

    I only want to know if this option for 410 error is valid and this is me who uses it incorrectly? Or maybe it is future-to-do feature and doesn’t work now?
