I saw a notification awhile back, saying WordPress was automatically updated to 4.1.1 and I think my WP blog site stopped working since then.

I can login to my Dashboard, and I can see the post contents, but cannot “view” them.

Please provide instructions to get my blog back online or downgrade to get things working again.

I have not made any changes to anything, as I am worried about screwing things up further.

    Any help would be appreciated

    Regards,

    Rashid

    Hi Rashid,

Have you tried re-saving the permalinks? Go to Settings -> Permalinks -> Save Changes. (You don’t need to change the permalinks, just save them, and WordPress will refresh your permalinks automatically.)

Thank you for your reply, yes I have done this, but I still cannot access any post or the main Blog page.

Have you been able to find a solution? If not, here’s something else you can try. I haven’t really been able to check back in on the forum for a while, but I’m glad to be back now.

Via FTP, you could try replacing the wp-admin folder with the same folder from a fresh download of WordPress. If that doesn’t work, you could try replacing all of the core WordPress files with those from a fresh WordPress install (excluding wp-content, .htaccess, wp-config.php, and favicon.ico). Before removing anything, I’d strongly suggest backing up your site first.
