• Hi all,

I updated wordpress to 4.2 and everything looks fine. But when i want to access the dashboard, i see a blank white page with no error messages.

Can anyone help me with this?

  • Can you deactivate all plugins from phpmyadmin or renaming plugins folder under “wp-content” to “plugin.old”?

    Check after deactivating your plugins.

    Hi Dhruba,

Thank you for your advice. I have changed it and gained access to the dashboard. What do I have to do now with the plugins? I cant seem to install it.

    ipavaigo,

Please list the plugins you do have.

Also look for the outdated plugins.

Outdated plugins use deprecated codes which cause conflict in PHP.

You can check activating the plugins 1 by 1. Whichever plugin activation brings back the error, do not use that plugin until they release their compatible version for current WP version.

    Hi,

These are all the plugins that I use:
    – bruteprotect
    – custom-sidebars
    – device-mockups
    – display-tweets-php
    – elite-addons-vc
    – js_composer
    – lockdown-wp-admin
    – login-with-ajax
    – mega-main-menu
    – ninja-forms
    – redux-frameworks
    – revslider
    – underconstruction
    – woocommerce
    – wordpress-seo
    – yith-woocommerce-wishlist

I have tried to install it one by one and I found out that revslider causes the problem. I guess I can only wait until they update their plugin and update it.

Do you maybe have any suggestions on what I can do?

Please de-activate the following plugins by renaming them through FTP as yourpluginfolder.old :

    – bruteprotect
    – custom-sidebars
    – js_composer
    – login-with-ajax

For example: rename bruteprotect folder to bruteprotect.old and so on under wp-content/plugins/ directory.
